Mental Health Awareness Week


The School's Annual Mental Health Awareness week will take place week commencing Monday 22 February 2016. 

Professor Jim Lucey, Medical Director of St Patrick's Mental Health Services will visit the school on Tuesday 23 February at 7.30 p.m. to deliver a presentation covering two topices:  "Mental Health for Parents" and "Top Tips for Teens".  This event is open to all parents, senior students and staff and will take place in the Library.

One of the main highlights of the week is the "Walk into the Light" planned for Wednesday 24 February at dawn.

The walk will commence at Howth Summit car park where walkers will meet at 6.30 a.m.  We will take the east walk for about 500m to a large plateau area, from where we will greet the sunrise with music and song.  Walkers will return to the school on foot (3km approximately) where breakfast will be provided for all in the Gym Hall.  The event is open to both junior and senior students, parents and staff.  Junior School students attending must be accompanied by an parent.
