Intermediate School Book Club
The Library offers a Book Club to children from Grades 4-6. The aim of the club is to impart to the children a love of books, which will hopefully remain with them for the rest of their lives. Every Wednesday afternoon, the pupils are introduced to different genres, such as classical stories, Greek mythology, poetry and seasonal topics. They also receive help in making book choices. Some other benefits of membership of the Book Club are:-

- They receive detailed instruction on how to use the library computer package
- They can borrow two extra books
- They get to see new books first
- They visit Waterstones and choose two books which are then purchased for inclusion in the library
- They visit Malahide Public Library

Teenage Book Club
This is run in a similar way to adult book clubs where one person chooses the book to read by all. We have a very enthusiastic group and this year so far we have read 8 books. We meet approximately every six weeks, during the lunch break, for a lively discussion. All First, Second & Third Year pupils are very welcome to join.

The Staff Read Books For Pleasure Too!
Many of the staff are keen readers and we often chat about the books we read. Two years back we decided it would be fun to put it on a more formal basis and run a Book Club. We have read many many books so far, all very different. We usually meet after school every six weeks. At present there are twelve members but the Book Club is open to any staff member who wants to come along. We all have very different tastes in reading materials, but because we take it in turns to choose what we read, we are all expanding our horizons and reading books we might not have chosen for ourselves.
